The Pitons
The Pitons are St. Lucia's most famous landmark. Rising nearly 3,000 feet above sea level, these two beautiful mountains add an amazing element to the unique landscape of the island. The Pitons can be seen from just about anywhere on the western coast of St. Lucia, but if you are brave enough, you can hike the steep slopes of the Pitons to enjoy a truly phenomenal view of the island. The mountains are located in Morne Trois Pitons National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
