Things to do in Cancún
Cancún Underwater Museum
If you’re interested in diving, there’s nothing quite like the Cancún Underwater Museum. You’ve got to sea it for yourself. In the middle of Cancún’s hotel zone, nearly 500 sculptures coexist with marine life in an effort to highlight the art of conservation. This non-profit organization has planted its art from three to six meters deep in the ocean at the Cancún National Marine Park. Since 2010, this marine park has provided an alternative diving destination through its three separate galleries in an attempt to save the nearby coral reefs.
Isla Mujeres
If you need a change of pace from the nightlife and beaches on your Cancún getaway, head to Isla Mujeres. The island is about eight miles off the Yucatán Peninsula, with ferries from three different Cancún ports multiple times a day. In addition to providing beautiful, serene ocean views and world-class snorkeling, Isla Mujeres is also home to Tortugranja, a turtle conservation center where the endangered species can breed safely.
