Things to do in Sarasota

Sarasota Beach
From the famous Siesta Key all the way to Venice Beach, the Sarasota area is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the Southwest Gulf Coast. Adjacent to Sarasota beach, Siesta Key is known for its pristine quartz sand, turquoise waters and several beach amenities. The Sarasota Aquarium (Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium) is also located in between Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.

Downtown Sarasota
Less than a 20-minute drive from the beach, downtown Sarasota is the civic and cultural center of the town. In addition to the nightlife and dining, Sarasota also has a large arts scene. The downtown area is home to the Sarasota Art Museum, but if you venture a little north, you’ll find the famous Ringling Museum and Sarasota Jungle Gardens. To stay near the action, check out one of our favorite Sarasota hotels: The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, Hyatt Regency Sarasota and Sandcastle Resort at Lido Beach.
