Park City
About a 40-minute drive from Salt Lake City, Park City is home to the large and famous Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley Resort, both known for their incredible ski slopes. While the Utah Olympic Park lies just north of the town, Main Street is lined with buildings from a 19th-century silver mining boom. In addition to its exceptional skiing, Park City is also a great town for dining, entertainment, museums and more. One of our favorite stays near the ski resort is Westgate Park City Resort & Spa.

Antelope Island
About an hour drive from downtown Salt Lake City, Antelope Island State Park is the largest of 10 islands that stretch into the Great Salt Lake. When the water levels are low, the island turns into a peninsula. Popular for camping, hiking, horseback riding and more, the state park is also home to a large amount of wildlife such as bison, deer, sheep, antelope and other desert animals.

Downtown Salt Lake City
In the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, Temple Square is rich in history, gardens, architecture and art. The downtown area is filled with restaurants and community events, but if you drive about 15 minutes east, you’ll run into the Hogle Zoo, the Red Butte Garden and several museums.
