Things to do in Ponce, Puerto Rico

Ponce Cathedral
Located in the center of Ponce's town square, the cathedral dates back to the 1660s, when a small chapel was built on the current site of the cathedral. The small chapel was demolished in 1835 in order for a larger cathedral to be built for worship. Surviving earthquakes, fires and restoration projects, the existing neoclassical cathedral is known for its colonial and gothic interior, including the sky-blue ceiling, the alabaster altar and beautiful stained-glass windows. The cathedral was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 for its historic significance.

Paseo Tablado La Guancha

This lively, family-friendly area is known for its local music events, traditional fried foods and the observation tower. You can also experience the nearby beach, boat rides, tarpon feeding, playground and kayak rentals.
