Things to do in Phoenix

Camelback Mountain
Though still technically in Phoenix, the Camelback Mountain trail is only a 10-minute drive from Old Town Scottsdale and about a 30-minute drive from Downtown Phoenix. Camelback Mountain was named after the “hump” of this iconic landmark, which looks like a camel kneeling. It’s about 1,200 feet high, and there are two different trails you can take to get to the top: Echo Canyon and Cholla—the panoramic view at the top is indescribable.

Phoenix Art Museum
Located in Downtown Phoenix right next to the Heard Museum, the Phoenix Art Museum is the Southwest’s largest fine art museum. With a large collection of contemporary art and global masterpieces, the galleries’ work comes from Asia, America and Europe. The best part is you can visit the permanent collections for free every Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. or the second Sunday of the month from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Old Town Scottsdale
About a 25-minute drive from Downtown Phoenix, Old Town Scottsdale is well-known for shopping, dining and nightlife. One of the most popular places in the Greater Phoenix area, Scottsdale is also known for their beautiful golf courses. To stay closer to this area of town, we recommend looking into a stay at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa or The Westin Kierland Villas.
