Paris Arrondissements

Paris is full of amazing arrondissements (districts), each with its unique charm. If hip boutiques, art galleries, and great nightlife are what you are looking for, wander through Le Marais, a picturesque neighborhood that was previously known as the Jewish quarter of Paris. Or maybe you want to climb up Montmartre to the Sacred Heart Basilica for stunning views of the city. This neighborhood was formerly known as the artists' village and home of talented artists like Picasso and Dali.

Palais Garnier

Travel back in time when you walk into the Palais Garnier. The Paris Opera opened its doors in the 17th century as a way to give people an elevated taste of dance, music, and theater. But it wasn’t until 1911 with Gaston Leroux’s The Phantom of the Opera that it got its fame. Visitors can now get a glimpse of the magnificent auditorium, foyer, and galerie daily from 10 am to 5 pm. If you're lucky you might just walk into one of the performance rehearsals.

Notre Dame Cathedral

Located in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, the Notre Dame de Paris first opened its doors in the 14th century and now attracts about 13 million people annually. It is known for being one of the first cathedrals following gothic architecture and for its stained glass windows.
