Things to do in Hartford

Downtown Hartford
As the capital of Connecticut, Hartford serves as a bustling hub for both business and government affairs. However, aside from the large corporation buildings and transportation hubs like Hartford Union Station, the downtown area also holds a lot of history. Bushnell Park, located in downtown Hartford, is the oldest publicly funded park in the U.S. and hosts the famous Bushnell Park Carousel, which is an early 20th century merry-go-round. Not too far from that you can venture off to the Mark Twain House & Museum, which is where Samuel Clemens wrote famous novels such as The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
