A little background

Conveniently located just southeast of Florida, the Bahamas are the closest Caribbean islands to the U.S. The Bahamas consist of hundreds of small, tropical islands, only about 30 of which are inhabited. Nassau (also known as Paradise Island) is by far the most popular of all the islands. With an average of 12 hours of sunlight per day and a three-hour flight from New York, it's no wonder the island has become so popular.
The Bahamas hold the distinction of being one of the world's top Caribbean destinations.
Ardastra Zoo features more than 135 different animals, ranging from exotic jaguars to Madagascar lemurs.

Swimming with dolphins

Blue Lagoon Island’s Dolphin Encounters give guests the unique opportunity to play with dolphins in the water and watch their leaps and bows. In addition to dolphins, the all-natural ocean habitat is also home to sea lions. Blue Lagoon is one of the most secluded beaches on the island, and we recommend one of the Atlantis resorts in Paradise Island to stay close.

Cable Beach

Noted as one of the best beaches in Nassau, Cable Beach has the famous crystal clear blue water, fine white sand and beautiful marine life many dream about visiting on their next vacation. It’s not uncommon for visitors to swim with sea turtles and other friendly fish in the area, which is what makes this beach a great spot for snorkeling. Cable Beach also offers unobstructed ocean views, as cruise ships dock on the other side of the island.
Heralded by many who visit as one of the best beaches in Nassau, Cable Beach is lucky to encompass crystal clear blue water, fine white sand and beautiful marine life.
Why go on a normal tour of the Bahamas when you can take a tour in a fun and environmentally friendly way! See the beautiful city of Nassau by bike! Brought to you by JetBlue Vacations.

Snorkels, jet skis & boat tours, oh my!

One of the best and easiest ways to enjoy the clear and scenic waters the Bahamas has to offer is by boat tour. With tour companies all over the island, it’s easy to book or rent snorkel gear, jet skis, boat tours and more, but we recommend minimizing stress during your vacation and booking your excursion with your JetBlue Vacations package. Simply click “Add Extras” once you’ve selected your hotel, and pick from the various options of activities.
