Barton Springs Pool & Zilker Park
Zilker Metropolitan Park is located in the heart of downtown Austin, Texas. In addition to picnic tables, rental bikes & canoes and the Zilker Zephyr train, this 350-acre park is also home to the beloved Barton Springs Pool. This natural pool is about 68 degrees year round as it’s fed spring waters, so it’s always a popular swimming spot. The park also hosts annual events like the Austin City Limits Music Festival, which is held every October and the Austin Kite Festival, which is held every March.

Downtown Austin
Downtown Austin is home to some of the best restaurants, bars and shops in town. There’s also an abundant art scene with galleries and museums scattered throughout, especially on Congress Avenue. 2nd Street District hosts several local and national brands, from shopping to restaurants and even entertainment, this area is part of what gave Austin its lively reputation. Downtown Austin is broken up into many areas, but there’s much to be discovered on Rainey Street, Red River, Sixth Street, the Warehouse District and West Sixth Street. You can also take a stroll on the boardwalk at Lady Bird Lake for incredible views of the downtown Austin skyline.
