Catawba Falls
Looking for a fun hike to do with friends and/or the whole family? Look no further and get ready to hike through the shady forest trails to a beautiful series of waterfalls along the Catawba River. Located in Pisgah National Forest, this hike is about a 2.5-mile roundtrip with a 300-foot climb to the top. It’s considered a moderate hike which makes it perfect for kids and dogs too. You can enjoy hiking in the shaded trails and seeing the vibrant green moss seep alongside the path. Bring a swimsuit and enjoy swimming in these falls and rivers but be careful, the water is sure to be cold!

Biltmore
Get ready to explore this vast 8,000-acre estate located in Asheville, North Carolina. This beautiful property was created back in the 1890’s by George W. Vanderbilt and features 250 rooms including 35 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms, and 65 fireplaces. While it’s interior is grand and offers audio tours to learn more about the history and architecture of the estate, you can also take some time and stroll in the outdoor gardens and forested trails. Also home to one of the nation’s most-visited wineries, Biltmore Winery is a unique experience to explore with almost 50 different wines. Enjoy strolling through the vineyards and cellars and learn more about the process of how wine is grown and made here.

With plenty of art galleries and museums, you likely won’t run out of things to do and can enjoy the mix of culture that this city has to offer.
